My Research Interests
My main research interests are in the field of quantum mechanics, particularly quantum optics and its applications. During my master’s thesis I am working on dynamical nuclear polarization protocols based on nitrogen vacancy (NV) centers, i.e. methods to transfer spin polarization from a NV center’s electron spin to nuclear spins, like for example hydrogen spins. This has the potential to significantly improve the sensitivity of nuclear magnetic resonance. My research includes the simulation of recently developed polarization schemes as well as the development of new methods.
